Libya’s Presidential Council, along with the head of the Government of National Unity and the chairman of the High Council of State, announced the creation of a “Supreme Presidencies Body” aimed at coordinating national decision-making on strategic issues and strengthening institutional cohesion.

The announcement followed a high-level meeting in Tripoli attended by Presidential Council President Mohamed al-Menfi, Prime Minister Abdulhamid al-Dbeibah and High Council of State Chairman Mohamed Takala.

According to a statement issued after the talks, the new body will act as the country’s top sovereign authority, overseeing major national files and supporting efforts to stabilize Libya’s political and institutional landscape.
