The Élysée Palace announced that French President Emmanuel Macron will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris on Monday to discuss developments in the U.S. peace plan and the Geneva talks.

The two leaders will address the conditions for achieving a “just and lasting peace” and the security guarantees proposed by the “coalition of the willing.”

The meeting comes after Ukraine’s lead negotiator Rustem Umerov was sent to Washington to continue talks aimed at ending the war, while Zelensky confirmed that cooperation with the United States remains “constructive.”
