Mass Protests in Occupied Territories Against Israeli Gaza Plan

Following a general strike called by hostages’ families, massive demonstrations erupted Sunday in over 350 locations across the occupied territories.

Protesters blocked roads with burning tires, demanding the return of hostages held by Hamas, the end of the war, and the cancellation of the Israeli Gaza plan.

Universities, Israeli business forums, former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and opposition leader Yair Lapid joined the protests.

Israeli police arrested 38 demonstrators amid clashes.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized calls to end the war, claiming they strengthen Hamas and delay hostage releases, and affirmed his government’s commitment to its plan to control Gaza despite warnings about the hostages’ safety.
