A wave of protests continued across Iran for the second consecutive day as thousands took to the streets in Tehran and several major cities, despite authorities imposing an almost total internet blackout.

Demonstrators are demanding sweeping political and economic reforms, amid reports of mass arrests and the use of excessive force against protesters.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei warned against escalating demonstrations, describing them as “foreign-instigated riots,” while rights groups urged authorities to respect freedom of expression and halt security abuses.
