Morocco advanced to the final of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Tuesday after defeating Senegal 5-3 on penalties in the semifinal held at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.

The match ended 1-1 after regular and extra time, before the Atlas Lions held their nerve in the shootout, successfully converting all five of their spot-kicks, while Senegal managed only three.

In the final, Morocco will face Madagascar, who secured their place with a 1-0 victory over Sudan in the other semifinal played in Tanzania.
