Morocco advanced to the semifinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile after defeating the United States 3–1 in a thrilling match on Sunday.

The victory marks Morocco’s second-ever appearance in the tournament’s last four, following their 2005 run in the Netherlands, where they finished fourth after losses to Nigeria in the semifinals and Brazil in the third-place match.
