Morocco’s U-20 national team kicked off their FIFA U-20 World Cup campaign in Chile with a remarkable 2-0 victory over Spain on Sunday, in the opening round of Group C.
After a goalless first half, the young Atlas Lions delivered an impressive second-half performance to seal the win against one of the tournament favorites.
The result gives Morocco three crucial points in a tough group that also features Brazil, Mexico, and Spain.
Chile is hosting the competition for the second time, after 1987, from September 27 to October 19, with matches being played across Santiago, Valparaíso, Rancagua, and Talca.
