Morocco’s under-20 national team claimed their first-ever FIFA U-20 World Cup title after a 2–0 victory over six-time champions Argentina in the final held early Monday at Chile’s National Stadium in Santiago.

The historic triumph marks Morocco’s maiden world title and makes the “Atlas Cubs” the first Arab team and only the second African nation, after Ghana in 2009, to lift the trophy.

Argentina, the tournament’s most successful side, were denied a seventh title as Morocco delivered a disciplined and commanding performance to cap off a remarkable campaign.
