Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged arming Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip that oppose Hamas as part of a “security plan” to support the Israeli army.
This statement came following reports that the Israeli occupation provided a group led by Yasser Abu Shabaan with weapons, including Kalashnikov rifles.
Some of these groups, cooperating with Israeli forces, have been accused of looting humanitarian aid, which has drawn sharp criticism from former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
