Israeli occupation forces carried out new incursions on Saturday into several areas of the southern Quneitra countryside, setting up military checkpoints near the villages of Ain Al-Ziwan, Ain Al-Qadi, and Breiqa, according to Syria’s state news agency SANA.
Damascus described the moves as a violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and demanded an immediate withdrawal from Syrian territory.
The incursions come amid repeated escalation in southern Syria, against the backdrop of ongoing tensions since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
