Egypt’s State Information Service denied any coordination with the Israeli occupation regarding reopening the Rafah crossing for Gazans in the coming days, after an announcement by the Israeli government’s coordinator claiming it would be opened for outbound travel only.

Egyptian media emphasized that a one-way opening would formalize the displacement of Palestinians and contradict the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The UN and aid organizations called for fully reopening the crossing amid a worsening humanitarian crisis after two years of war.
