OIC Foreign Ministers Hold Emergency Meeting in Jeddah on Gaza Crisis

Foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) convened an emergency meeting on Monday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to address the ongoing Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip.

The session is chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who presides over the current term of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, representing the 57 member states.

In a statement posted on its official account on platform X, the OIC confirmed that the meeting was called to discuss the escalating Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people.

Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday that the talks would focus on what it described as Israel’s “ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people,” as well as Tel Aviv’s decision to expand its military operations in Gaza.
