Oil prices rose sharply on Thursday, March 26, 2026, amid uncertainty surrounding negotiations between the United States and Iran to end the nearly month-long war in the Middle East.
According to AFP, Brent crude for May delivery climbed 5.20% to reach $107.54 per barrel at around 12:00 GMT.
Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained 4.86%, rising to approximately $94.71 per barrel.
The surge comes as geopolitical tensions persist and concerns grow over global energy supplies, driving volatility in oil markets.
