Authorities in Oman announced that five people died within the past 24 hours after floodwaters swept away their vehicles in several regions.

Rescue teams managed to save seven people in Barka, while the bodies of three others were recovered. Two additional victims died in a separate incident in Wadi Al Maawil after their vehicle was trapped in a valley.
