OPEC maintained its forecast for global oil demand growth in 2025 at 1.3 million barrels per day, reaching 105.1 million barrels, driven by an improved economy, increased industrial activity, and transportation.
In 2026, OPEC expects demand to increase by 1.4 million barrels per day to 106.4 million, supported by emerging economies’ recovery and increased fuel consumption in aviation and shipping.
