More than 70 Palestinians were martyred in ongoing Israeli occupation attacks on Gaza, including 40 in Gaza City, medical sources reported.

The assault coincides with a wide-scale ground invasion of the city, home to hundreds of thousands of besieged civilians.

Satellite images showed Israeli military vehicles tightening the siege around the city.

Occupation airstrikes continued to level entire residential blocks.
