The Pakistani armed forces announced on Friday that 33 fighters were killed in a nighttime operation in the Zob area of Balochistan after they attempted to infiltrate from Afghanistan.

The military described the fighters as “supported by India” and referred to them as Khawarij, a term used to denote fighters of the Pakistani Taliban, without providing evidence to support its accusations of Indian backing.
