Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to resume their talks in Istanbul under Turkish mediation, following previous failed attempts to ease rising border tensions.
Pakistani security officials confirmed that the delegation will remain in Turkey to continue discussions after Islamabad had earlier threatened to withdraw due to stagnation.
Pakistan is pressing Kabul to curb the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan group, which carries out cross-border attacks. The talks come amid frequent military clashes and growing regional concern over the widening conflict.
