Pakistani authorities announced Tuesday that they had restored 70% of electricity services and reopened major roads in the north and northwest after flash floods killed more than 300 people.
The National Disaster Management Authority reported that the death toll has exceeded 700 since June 26.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said engineers are working to restore service fully, while the army is providing medical treatment to survivors and repairing damaged infrastructure. More than 25,000 people have been evacuated.
