Pakistani security forces said on Monday that they had neutralized 12 militants in two operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces near the Afghan border.

According to the local newspaper Dawn, the operations targeted Karak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kallat in Balochistan based on intelligence reports. Eight militants were killed in Karak and four in Kallat during the clashes.
