Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Bangladesh on Saturday, marking the first official visit by a Pakistani foreign minister to the country in over a decade.
In a statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry described the trip as “an important milestone in bilateral relations,” noting that no Pakistani foreign minister had visited Dhaka in the past 13 years.
According to Pakistan’s Geo News, Dar is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Bangladeshi officials to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
