The Hamas movement and other Palestinian factions on Friday rejected any form of foreign guardianship over the Gaza Strip, insisting that the administration of Gaza is a purely Palestinian matter.
In a joint statement, the factions expressed readiness to cooperate in reconstruction and development efforts with Arab and international partners, without compromising Palestinian sovereignty.
They called for an urgent national meeting to unify Palestinian ranks following the ceasefire and to develop a comprehensive national strategy based on partnership and transparency, supported by Egyptian mediation to achieve internal political consensus.
