Moroccan stadiums are entering a temporary closure period in preparation for hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, across six cities and nine venues nationwide.
The closures are part of maintenance and renovation efforts to ensure the facilities are fully ready for the major continental tournament.
Officials confirmed that Marrakesh’s Grand Stadium will remain closed until the upcoming tournament for comprehensive maintenance, including facility upgrades and pitch refurbishment following damage observed during a recent match between Kawkab and Nahdat Berkane.
Agadir’s Adrar Stadium will also close for maintenance starting next week, after hosting matches between Olympic Dcheira and Kawkab, and Hassania Agadir and Difaa El Jadida.
