Peace Talks between Pakistan and Taliban Collapse in Istanbul

Peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan’s Taliban government ended in Istanbul without progress, as both sides traded accusations of ceasefire violations.

The Pakistani delegation left Turkey after what Islamabad called “failed” discussions, while the Taliban insisted the truce remained in place.

The ceasefire, brokered by Qatar and Turkey in October, followed weeks of deadly border clashes between the two neighbors.
