The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) accused the Syrian government of moving toward military escalation in the Jazira region and Kobani, despite an existing ceasefire agreement.

Damascus, in turn, denied reports of extending the deadline granted to the SDF, describing talk of a new truce as an attempt to “buy time and spread misinformation,” according to Syria’s Foreign Ministry.
