During his visit to the Monastery of St. Maron in Annaya, Pope Leo XIV affirmed that “there can be no peace without talks and dialogue,” calling for an end to conflicts in Lebanon and the wider region.

The visit, which continues until Tuesday under the slogan “Blessed are the peacemakers,” includes an official reception and a program spanning five cities in Lebanon.

It marks the first visit of its kind in years amid regional tensions and Lebanon’s worsening internal situation.
