The Vatican announced that Pope Leo XIV will visit Turkey and Lebanon in late November, marking his first trip abroad since his election in May.

The visit will take place from November 27 to 30 in Turkey, and from November 30 to December 2 in Lebanon, where the pontiff is expected to discuss the situation of Christians in the Middle East and call for peace and dialogue.

During his stay, Pope Leo XIV will meet Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to commemorate the 1,700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea (İznik).
