Portuguese authorities announced the death of one person and the evacuation of residents by boats after the Sado River overflowed in the town of Alcácer do Sal, following the seventh storm to strike the country this year.

Portugal is meanwhile bracing for another incoming storm, expected to bring strong winds and high waves.
