A powerful tornado swept through the southern Brazilian state of Paraná, killing six people and injuring around 750 others, local authorities said.

Aerial footage showed widespread destruction across homes and infrastructure as rescue teams continued searching for missing persons.

With wind speeds exceeding 250 km/h, it was one of the most severe storms to hit the state in decades.
