The Syrian presidency announced reaching a joint understanding with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on several issues related to the future of Al-Hasakah province.

The agreement grants the SDF four days to consult and develop a detailed mechanism for integration.

It stated that Syrian forces will not enter the cities of Al-Hasakah and Qamishli if a final agreement is reached, while guaranteeing non-entry into Kurdish villages.

The understanding also encompasses the integration of forces and civilian institutions, as well as the implementation of the decree on Kurdish linguistic and cultural rights.
