Thousands of workers and students staged marches and demonstrations on Tuesday in several U.S. cities and on university campuses, protesting President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
The protests coincided with the first anniversary of Trump’s second term, as demonstrators voiced opposition to the administration’s hardline immigration crackdown. Public anger has intensified in recent weeks following controversial incidents, including federal agents dragging a U.S. citizen from her car and the killing of a 37-year-old woman, identified as Rini Good, in Minneapolis.
Protesters called for an end to what they described as repressive measures and urged respect for the rights of immigrants and citizens alike.
