Several Spanish cities, as well as the Belgian capital Brussels, witnessed large demonstrations protesting US military intervention in Venezuela and the detention of President Nicolás Maduro.
Protesters gathered outside the US embassy in Madrid, including activists from leftist parties and organizations, chanting anti-war slogans.
A similar protest was held in Brussels, calling for Maduro’s release and an end to US intervention, as Spain announced its readiness to mediate to resolve the crisis between Washington and Caracas.
