Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks on Sunday in Moscow with Ali Larijani, senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, focusing on the Iranian nuclear program and escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Larijani conveyed Tehran’s assessment of the regional situation and developments related to Iran’s nuclear activities, according to Russian news agency Sputnik.

President Putin reaffirmed Russia’s position in support of regional stability and underscored the importance of pursuing political solutions to address concerns surrounding Iran’s nuclear efforts.
