Qatar and Turkey Sign New Cooperation Deals During Erdoğan’s Visit to Doha

Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani hosted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Doha on Wednesday, where the two leaders oversaw the signing of a series of agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties across economic, trade, and strategic sectors.

The visit came as part of the 11th meeting of the Qatar-Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee, held at the Amiri Diwan and attended by both heads of state. The session concluded with the adoption of a joint statement and multiple memoranda of understanding covering development planning, trade, and investment cooperation.

Among the signatories were Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Şimşek, and Trade Minister Ömer Bolat. From the Qatari side, the documents were signed by Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, and Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Planning Council.

The new agreements reflect the deepening strategic partnership between Ankara and Doha, which continues to expand in scope and significance amid growing regional cooperation.
