Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari said Saturday that an extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit scheduled for Monday in Doha will discuss a draft resolution on the recent Israeli attack on the Gulf state.
In a statement, Al-Ansari said the summit is being convened “in light of recent regional developments,” adding that Arab and Islamic foreign ministers will meet Sunday to finalize the draft before submitting it to leaders.
The spokesman did not provide further details on the content of the resolution, but the summit comes as regional and international condemnations of the Israeli strike continue to mount.
