Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived in Jordan on Wednesday for an official visit, his first since the Israeli strike on Doha about a week ago.

The visit comes amid heightened regional tensions and reflects the need for closer coordination between Amman and Doha on how to address the aftermath of the attack, as well as broader discussions on regional developments.

Emir Tamim is scheduled to hold extensive talks with King Abdullah II during the visit, whose duration has not yet been announced.
