Real Madrid have officially extended the contract of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for two additional years, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2027. His previous deal was set to expire in June 2026.

The extension reflects the club’s continued confidence in Courtois’ world-class abilities, leadership, and influence in the dressing room, as Real Madrid navigate a transitional phase that aims to blend legacy with renewal.

Since joining Los Blancos from Chelsea in the summer of 2018, Courtois has made 288 official appearances, keeping 113 clean sheets. He has been instrumental in the club’s success, helping secure three La Liga titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies.
