Russia’s Ministry of Defense accused Ukraine of carrying out a drone attack involving two UAVs on the Maltese-flagged oil tanker Matilda near Novorossiysk port, without causing casualties.

Authorities reported receiving a distress signal during the assault, while Greece condemned a similar attack on two Greek-operated tankers, including the Liberian-flagged Delta Harmony.

Kyiv has not commented on the accusations, while KazMunayGas confirmed the tanker sustained minor damage.

The incident comes amid a growing surge in Black Sea maritime attacks since the start of the conflict.
