Saudi Arabia and Pakistan sign a joint strategic defense pact

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed a joint strategic defense agreement on Wednesday during a meeting in Riyadh between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the agreement aims to strengthen defense cooperation between the two countries.

A statement from the Pakistani prime minister’s office stated that the pact encompasses all military means and affirms both sides’ commitment to regional and global security.

The deal stipulates that any attack on one country will be considered an attack on the other, reflecting a long-term partnership between Riyadh and Islamabad rather than a response to a specific event.
