Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet approved the 2026 state budget with total expenditures of 1.31 trillion riyals and projected revenues of 1.15 trillion riyals, resulting in an estimated deficit of 165 billion riyals.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired the Cabinet session in Dammam to endorse the budget.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the 2025 deficit is expected to reach 5.3% of GDP, before dropping to 3.3% in 2026 as part of plans to strengthen fiscal sustainability and advance Vision 2030 projects.
