Saudi Arabia raises $5.5bn in international sukuk issuance

Saudi Arabia has successfully raised $5.5 billion through a dual-tranche international sukuk issuance, drawing strong investor demand, according to official financial data.

The first tranche, worth $2.25 billion with a five-year maturity, was priced at 65 basis points above comparable U.S. Treasuries, yielding 4.384%. The second tranche, with a 10-year maturity, raised $3.25 billion at 75 basis points above U.S. Treasuries, with a final yield of 5.025%, Bloomberg reported.

The issuance comes as the kingdom navigates economic pressures, including a 22% drop in Aramco’s second-quarter 2025 profits, underscoring Riyadh’s efforts to diversify financing sources and strengthen fiscal resilience.
