The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced they lost control of Al-Shaddadi prison, which holds ISIS members, following attacks they say were carried out by the Syrian army in recent days, resulting in casualties among SDF forces.
The SDF said it coordinated with the international coalition to transfer detainees from Al-Aqtan prison to secure locations, but the coalition has yet to take concrete action.
No immediate comment was issued by Damascus, while the Syrian army imposed a full curfew around the city.
