Secret Service Agents Suspended Over Trump Assassination Attempt

the U.S. Secret Service has announced disciplinary sanctions against six of its agents, who have been suspended from duty for periods ranging between 10 and 42 days. The action comes in response to the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in 2024.

In a brief statement, the agency said the sanctions followed an internal review of the events leading up to and during the assassination attempt. However, it did not disclose the identities of those disciplined or provide details about the measures taken.

The Secret Service reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to strengthening protective protocols and ensuring such incidents are not repeated, emphasizing its full dedication to safeguarding public figures and securing political events.
