World leaders gathered in Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh on Sunday for the signing of a landmark agreement ending the war in Gaza between the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and the Israeli occupation.

The accord was signed by U.S. President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Trump hailed the deal as “the largest and most complex peace agreement in the Middle East,” praising Egypt’s pivotal mediation role.
