Iran said on Saturday that six members of the same family, including a six-month-old infant, were killed in a US-Israeli attack targeting a residential gathering in Ilam province in western Iran.

According to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, Ilam provincial authorities said in a statement that a drone operated by the United States and Israel carried out the strike in the morning in Ivan district.

The statement said the attack killed six members of a single family, including the infant.

It added that US-Israeli attacks on Ilam province have so far resulted in the deaths of at least 60 people, including four children.

Since February 28, Israel and the United States have been carrying out military operations against Iran, killing hundreds of people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several security officials, while Tehran has responded with missile and drone attacks toward Israel.
