Six people — including two of the attackers — were killed in a suicide assault on the headquarters of Pakistan’s Federal Constabulary in Peshawar, northwest Pakistan.

Local media reported that one attacker detonated himself at the facility’s entrance, while two others were shot dead in an exchange of fire with guards.

Authorities suspect Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which has claimed similar attacks in the past, amid rising tensions between Islamabad and Afghanistan’s Taliban government, accused by Pakistan of allowing militants to operate across the border.
