South Korean Police Seek Arrest of Dozens Deported from Cambodia over Online Fraud

South Korea’s National Police Agency announced that it is seeking arrest warrants for 58 out of 64 South Koreans deported from Cambodia over the weekend, on suspicion of involvement in large-scale online fraud schemes known as “pig butchering.”

Police said the suspects were part of financial networks that lured victims into fake investment platforms.

The operation is part of a regional crackdown on transnational fraud rings across Southeast Asia.
