Spain’s women’s national football team made history on Wednesday by reaching the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 final for the first time, defeating Germany 1–0 after extra time at Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich, Switzerland.
The winning goal came in the first half of extra time after a tense, goalless 90 minutes, sending “La Roja” into a much-anticipated final clash with England on Sunday.
England secured their spot in the final by edging Italy 4–2 on penalties after a draw in regular time, setting up a rematch of the 2023 Women’s World Cup final held in Australia and New Zealand.
