The Sudanese army announced on Sunday that it had repelled a widespread attack launched by Rapid Support Forces on the city of Al-Fasher in North Darfur, with reported human and material losses among the attackers.

The Rapid Support Forces did not respond to the attack. Meanwhile, residents of Nyala and areas of Darfur held marches in support of the government formed by the “New Sudan” alliance, amid debates regarding the existence of a parallel authority in Port Sudan.
