Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard on Friday urged Swedish citizens in Iran to leave the country immediately amid rising tensions.
In a post on X, Stenergard said Swedes should follow the Foreign Ministry’s recommendation against travel to Iran.
“I reiterate my strong call for Swedish citizens currently in Iran to leave immediately,” she wrote.
She noted that departures via commercial flights and land crossings were still possible, adding: “Swedes should leave Iran while the opportunity exists and not wait.”
